Parkland, Wash. – A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday afternoon after he crashed into a Nissan Rouge carrying three people on Highway 7 in Parkland, according to Washington State Patrol.

The crash happened at about 4 p.m. on northbound State Route 7 near Garfield Street South.

According to WSP, A Nissan Rouge was in the centre turn lane, making a left turn and crossing northbound SR-7 at Garfield Street South, when a motorcycle driven by Justo E. Jorge, 24, of Auburn, crashed into it.

Jorge was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was injured and was transported to the hospital.

Preliminary investigation showed that speed was a factor in the crash the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
