The accident took place Saturday night involving four vehicles near State Route 52.
San Diego, CA – One person was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision that happened Saturday night on State Route 163 in San Diego, the California Highway Patrol said.
The pileup was reported around 11:41 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway near State Route 52.
Four vehicles were involved in the collision. One of the cars had its airbags deployed after sustaining front-end damage.
One person was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital by responding firefighters.
The Animal Control Unit was also requested to respond for three dogs involved in the accident.
Southbound SR-163 was blocked following the collision.
