Four vehicles collided Tuesday morning in the southbound lanes of the interstate just north of Exit 31.
San Leandro, CA – Two people were hurt in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday morning on Interstate 880 in San Leandro, the California Highway Patrol said.
The pileup was reported to authorities around 10:28 a.m. in the southbound lanes just north of exit 31.
Responding emergency personnel found a black Honda with major front-end damage, a red Tesla, a white Toyota minivan, and a fourth car involved in the accident.
The female driver of one of the cars was outside the vehicle, sitting in the No. 2 lane with her knee possibly bleeding. An occupant of the white Toyota was also possibly hurt. The parties were offered medical aid, but it was unclear if they were hospitalized.
CHP officers are collecting more information to establish the cause of the accident.
