Derek Grover II Killed in San Diego Motorcycle Accident at Euclid Avenue and Lyons Street

San Diego, CA. – Derek Grover II has been identified as the 35-year-old man who died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday evening in San Diego.

The deadly crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on Euclid Avenue at Lyon Street, just north of State Route 94, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The San Diego man was riding a motorcycle 2021 Harley-Davidson southbound on Euclid when he collided with a northbound 2000 GMC Sierra that was making a turn at the intersection.

Derek was injured in the accident and was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest, where he died shortly after arrival, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

The 58-year-old pickup truck driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
