3 Injured in Peoria Car Accident at Peoria Avenue and 28th Drive

Peoria, AZ – A child was among three people injured in a collision in Peoria on Saturday morning, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The accident happened in the area of Peoria Avenue and 28th Drive on Saturday, April 20. 

Police said officers spotted a vehicle being driven erratically near Metro Center and as they tried to stop the driver, the suspect fled from the area.

The officers pursued the suspect, who shortly after collided with multiple vehicles.

During the pursuit, the police vehicle hit a child who ran into the roadway.

The child and two adults were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Occupants of the suspect vehicle reportedly fled on foot after the accident but were caught and taken into custody.

The incident is under investigation.
